A final step towards Windows 7 general availability is done today when Microsoft released Windows XP Mode to MSDN.

Just last week, Microsoft released their latest attempt on securing the Windows platform, Microsoft Security Essentials, to general public. Today’s release of Windows Virtual PC is viewed as the final mark of the whole development of Windows 7 system, and also a reminding spark of the upcoming various events on welcoming the Windows 7.

Microsoft officially confirmed the RTM of Windows XP Mode/Windows Virtual PC on Monday, and had it released at the weekend. This truly shows the confidence in the new Windows from the grand company.
