AMD Phenom II Highly Overclocked
Believe it or not, one post in Coolaler forum caught my attention with the author claiming he had overclocked the newly released AMD Phenom II to an unbelievably high clock, 6272MHz…
Check it in CPU-Z’s database here:

The author also claimed he had passed Super-Pi test while forgot to write down the result or take any snapshot of it, which I highly disbelieve. I think running at this high, Phenom II could barely do anything practical.
Nevertheless, with the help of LN2 and a super voltage, claimed by user as 1.85v but who knows, Phenom II could really become phenomenal.
Though being no fan of AMD, I do wish them well in making great chips. Maybe this is a beginning of a chasing race, or something too late to come.
We’ll see.
Well, the picture.
