Microsoft rolled out public beta for Windows 7 today, but too many users trying to download the beta image brought even Microsoft servers down. Official webpage for distributing Windows 7 Beta was changed to Coming Soon notice.

Actually, Microsoft just removed the links to their public beta, with all the OS images good and sound on Microsoft servers.

Here are the links to them:

Windows 7 Beta x86

Windows 7 Beta x64

And for people interested in Windows Server 2008 R2 Beta, here is the page you might want to check.

As to product keys, Microsoft hadn’t issued any for Windows 7 Beta to public beta attendants, but for Windows Server 2008 R2 Beta, it seems Microsoft will use only one license key for all testers.
