Got a mini review on Intel’s upcoming Core i7, the super processor powered on Nehalem architecture, the latest ”tock” from Intel as 45nm process matures. Formally named Core i7, Nehalem is believed to be the world’s best CPU.

So is it? Check this out:

Absolutely stunning performance! Intel Core i7 not just lives up to our expectation… it actually exceeds it.

However, maybe due to lack of  support,  Core i7 seems unlikely the best choice for DirectX 9 games detailed below.

But for those games utilizing DirectX 10, things changed.

World in Conflict is a one of this kind that was developed with Direct 10 plus multi-process in mind, so here you see the triumph.

Core i7 may not be the best processor for old titles, or even games nowadays, but it fits the future when every big title is constructed around the coming new tech, presenting another level of graphics wonder.

So if you want to play well a game of that kind, you better get equipped with an Intel Core i7, since that’s where i7 is meant to stretch its wings, and it will fly high.

Core i7 is the processor of the future and for the future. If you got one now, congratulations, you already touched on the future now.

Update: Last but never the least, the overclockability. Check it here.
