Core 2 Transformer, a special Core 2 Quad
Posted on August 31st, 2008 in Casual
Intel didn’t say anytime up till now, that their Core based quad parts could transform to illustrate who exactly is the father of these Quads. Today, somebody got know this, physically.
This is an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, very special one actually. With voltage increased to 1.45v, it is still a Quad running happily at 470*8 MHz. Once the voltage increased over 1.50v, it will become a Duo, running at 500*7 MHz.
So, you can only run higher with lesser.
