Do ya know what MS uses to make Windows updates?
Recently, I came across to unveil one tiny secret in Windows Updates.
It’s about what machine Microsoft uses to make the Windows Update updates.
As far as I can tell, this trick only works on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. There is a file named “Windows Update.log” in your system partion’s Windows directory, which is usually referred to as “%WINDIR%”.
Open it, scroll down the page or search for DELL, you can find the specific detail about the machine that packs the update from Microsoft in the first place, which is on some machine that belongs to Microsoft.
Microsoft is using PowerEdge 2850, a last generation performance monster in 2004, to pack Windows Update updates! Wow! Seems DELL provided lots of stuff to stuff Microsoft.
Check it on your own, pals.^_^
